Don’t Waste Your Painful Experiences

My Diary November 1, 2022

“You have experienced many things. Were all those experiences wasted? I hope not!” -Galatians 3:4 (ICB)

Deuteronomy 4:9 says, “You must be very careful not to forget the things you have seen God do for you. Keep reminding yourselves, and tell your children and grandchildren as well” (CEV).

What did I learn about what matters most? - my relationship with God

What did I learn about what matters least? - what the world offers

What did I learn about my weaknesses? - that they are opportunities to rely on God

What did I learn about my strengths? - that they are opportunities to remember and boast only of God

What did I learn about my relationships? - that I should prioritize my relationship with God in order for my other relationships to be fruitful, God first

What did I learn about my pace of living? - it's not like others and can never be compared to others because we all have a different timeline

What did I learn about God? - that God is forgiving, gives chances, he wants me back, he wants a relationship with me every minute of every day, he wants me to remember him always and to love him not just because of what he does for me but who he is

What did I learn about the world and the culture around me? - that there are many standards in this world that are not aligned with kingdom values

What did I learn about money? - that we should use money for good and not let money use us

What did I learn about happiness? - that my ultimate source of happiness should be God because he will be always our constant
